5th Grade Math Teacher
The Schuylkill Haven Area School District is seeking a full-time 5th Grade Teacher for the 2025-26 school year. We are looking for a dedicated educator who fosters a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where all students thrive academically, socially,  and emotionally. We prioritize innovative teaching, collaboration, and a strong focus on mathematics to prepare students for future success.  The ideal candidate will create engaging, standards-aligned lessons, foster a love of mathematics, and inspire students to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging, standards-based math lessons:

• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs

• Analyze student data to monitor progress and identify areas for growth

• Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application of mathematical concepts 

• Establish a positive, inclusive classroom environment

• Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary projects and align the curriculum across grade levels 

• Communicate regularly with families and foster a partnership in learning 

• Support students’ overall academic and social-emotional development. 

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred):

• Valid PA teaching certification for elementary education, with a focus on math or related endorsement

• Proven experience teaching math at the upper elementary or middle school level is preferred

• Strong knowledge of math pedagogy, including Common Core or state math standards

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to effectively integrate technology into instruction

• Commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration with colleagues.

Paraprofessional/Highly Qualified Teacher Aides
Seeking a part-time opportunity for the 2025-26 school year? The Schuylkill Haven Area School District is currently seeking dedicated individuals to serve as Paraprofessionals/Highly Qualified Teacher Aides. This role involves assisting teachers with daily classroom activities and supporting school-wide events.

Employment Terms:
Hours: 5 hours per day, Monday through Friday
Compensation: Hourly rate starting at $12.00
