🏆 CHAMPIONS! 🏆 Congratulations to the 4th Grade Haven Hoops team on winning the Schuylkill Haven Rec Department “Canes Cup” Championship! 🏀💙👏 It was an incredible weekend of basketball: ✅ Saturday: Defeated Blue Mountain 30-2 ✅ Sunday: A hard-fought battle vs. North Schuylkill, falling just short 17-19 ✅ Sunday: Bounced back with a 25-15 win over Freeland to secure a spot in the championship 🏆 Championship Game: A rematch vs. North Schuylkill, where Haven Hoops took the title with a 24-8 victory! Way to play with heart, teamwork, and determination! 💪🔥 We are proud of you, Canes!

Today marks the 100th Day of School, and our students have aged overnight! 👵🧓 Dressed as 100-year-olds, they are celebrating this milestone in style—complete with canes, glasses, and pearls! Here’s to 100 days of learning, laughter, and growing together! 🎉📚

🌟 Shoutout to an Amazing Watch D.O.G.S. Volunteer! 🌟 Today, we were lucky to have Kyle Morgan spend the day with our students at Schuylkill Haven Area Elementary Center as part of our Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program! 🐾 Kyle jumped right in, bringing smiles, encouragement, and a positive presence to our classrooms and hallways. Whether he was helping with activities, sharing stories, or simply being a role model, Kyle made a lasting impact on our students. Thank you, Kyle, for taking the time to invest in our school community. Your dedication and care remind us all of the difference one person can make in the lives of our kids. 💙 We’re so grateful for Watch D.O.G.S. like Kyle who step up to show our students the power of connection and kindness. 🙌

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting SHAEC WatchDog, Mr. Matos, who spent the day making a meaningful impact on our students. From assisting with a hands-on math lesson about measurement and fractions to sharing how he uses these skills in his field, he brought real-world learning to life. Mr. Matos also joined our students in creating thoughtful projects and heartfelt cards for a local nursing home, spreading kindness beyond our classroom walls. The day wouldn’t have been complete without some fun and games, and Mr. Matos made every moment special. Thank you, Mr. Matos, for your time, enthusiasm, and dedication to our students. You truly made a difference!

Last Friday, our students were excited to welcome Mr. Stephen Colella, a dedicated WatchDOG volunteer, who spent the day visiting with them and bringing smiles to their faces. Thank you, Mr. Colella, for giving your time to make a positive impact on our school community! Your support means so much to us.

The SHAEC PBIS will be having a Red Robin Night Thursday December 12th from 5-9 if you looking for an excuse to order/dine out!

8th Grade Intro to Geometry class used their math skills to calculate volume of cylinders, spheres, and cones to design and create their very own Macy’s Day Parade balloons. As a fun pre-Thanksgiving activity, they traveled to the Elementary Center to share their balloons with first grade. Both grade levels were able to share their creations with each other and in some classrooms, 8th grade shared a Thanksgiving story.

🎉 Elementary Center Spirit Calendar is Here! 🎉 The countdown to Winter Break is on! 🗓️ A copy of the Elementary Center Spirit Calendar was sent home with students today. ✨ Spirit Days are optional for all students—participation is encouraged but not mandatory. Let’s make this season extra festive and fun for everyone! We can’t wait to see our students’ creativity and spirit shine in the coming days! 🌟

📣 Coins for Kids Fundraiser Starts Today! 💰 The Schuylkill Haven Area Elementary Center is teaming up with the BIG Impact Group to support the BIGS School-Based Mentoring Program! 🤝 Starting today, November 18th, each homeroom will receive a “Help Change a Child’s Life” Jar. We invite students to fill these jars with loose change to help make a BIG impact in our community. This event runs through Friday, November 22nd. 🏆 The homeroom in each grade that collects the most change will win an ice cream party from Dairy Queen! 🍦 Let’s work together to make a difference, one coin at a time! 🪙❤️

👏 A Big Shout-Out to Our Schuylkill Haven Midget Football Cheerleaders! 🦃💛💙 Today, our incredible cheerleaders showed us what community spirit is all about! These young athletes went above and beyond, raising funds to purchase turkeys for the Schuylkill Haven Food Pantry. Their hard work and dedication will help put a meal on the table for families in need this Thanksgiving season. We are so proud of these girls, not just for their talent on the sidelines, but for their kindness and generosity off the field. You have truly embodied what it means to be a part of the Schuylkill Haven family. A huge thank you to everyone who supported their efforts. Together, we can make a difference! 💙💛
